Next entry: Tea parties?  How about witch burnings instead? Previous entry: Brother Steele bucks party leader Rush

Note

In order to prove to critics post-“BSG” blogging that he isn’t overcompensating for a weak sense of masculinity despite the tacit admission that he wets the bed, Vox Day has decided to share with us how much weight-lifting he does. This should, for those who are giggling, put to rest any suggestion that Vox has major masculinity issues he feels the need to overcompensate for.  Well, I’m convinced.  If he drives a really big car and has a gun collection, I’ll be completely convinced he’s not trying to prove anything.

Once again I’m tempted to give up parodying wingnuts, on the ground that what they actually say is far more hilarious than anything I could come up with.

How long before he posts video of himself doing his daily kendo practice?

Comment #2: Incertus, Nacho Daddy  on  03/02  at  08:57 PM

Yeah, there’s absolutely nothing I could say that would point up how bizarre and goofy as what Vox has already said. He’s a living slapstick routine.

Comment #3: Scott  on  03/02  at  08:58 PM

I suspect I can lift more than Vox, and I’m a 40-year-old woman who hasn’t weight trained for a couple of years.

Comment #4: Mnemosyne  on  03/02  at  09:02 PM

This just keeps getting better & better…

Comment #5: Mark  on  03/02  at  09:05 PM

The real stupidity in his original comments comes here:

You know, given that a woman has never been known to knock out a man in several thousand years of pugilistic combat, the boxing ring should have been a dead giveaway that “she” was a robot. Of course, the viewers of this kind of show wouldn’t have picked up on that because they’ve been indoctrinated into thinking that sort of thing is entirely possible.

Vox is confusing the fact the average man is stronger than the average woman with the lie that any man is stronger than any woman.  In other words, while the strongest man will always be stronger than the strongest woman, that doesn’t mean Vox is stronger than every woman on the planet.

So while it’s true that at the highest end of the spectrum (professional boxers) women can’t beat men, Laila Ali would most definitely kick the shit out of Vox Day.

Comment #6: John Cain  on  03/02  at  09:16 PM

I’m reminded of the guy who “randomly” decided to do pushups in front of me because he was “bored.”

I smell a pay-per-view!!! I’d pay real money to see that.

I’d pay money to watch that fight.

And I’d pay extra to watch Vox’s post-fight freakout.

Hard to freak out when you’re laying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of you and your arms in traction.

Comment #10: Incertus, Nacho Daddy  on  03/02  at  09:30 PM

Oh, you know that once he regained consciousness, his “OMG WOMAN BEAT MY MANLY POWAH” screamfest would be hilarious.

Comment #11: Scott  on  03/02  at  09:32 PM

You just know he’d be full of excuses about how she cheated and the ref was in the tank and he wasn’t feeling well that day…

Comment #12: BadKitty  on  03/02  at  09:48 PM

Shit I’ll box him. I’m just over 5’ 8”. Back in the day when I was a carpenter I could carry easily 2 sheets of 3/4 plywood in one hand. That’s ~146 pounds.

I’m not afraid to admit it: Vox Day could probably kick my ass.  As we all know, this is the first step to admitting that he’s just right about everything.

I’m reminded of this one guy around here who crashes parties and is the worst damn pathological liar I’ve ever encountered.  We were watching America’s Next Top Model at a party and he launched into this diatribe about how he simply couldn’t date a woman who was larger than him.  After a few minutes I put on my sarcastic voice to agree: “Of course, how do you know the guy is in control unless he is more physically intimidating?”  The smirking from the other girls present turned to slackjawed gaping when he shouted “Yes!  Exactly!” and jumped up to high-five me.  It’s not often that you get to use the phrase “this is not a high-five situation.”

Kyso K: Boo!  You’re supposed to go along with him!  Help him dig that hole!  With just a few more minutes of prodding by you he might have had to move once he realized that no one was laughing with him.

Comment #15: Andy  on  03/02  at  10:44 PM

I’d never been over to Vox Day before this.

I’m not going to admit he’s a real manly man till I see him out in the woods snacking on uncooked haunch of bambi.

Comment #17: paul  on  03/02  at  11:45 PM

It doesn’t seem to matter what the topic is. VD never gets more than three sentences out before I start snickering.

I still treasure the time one of his minions called me a “raddled old harridan”.

Comment #18: Tapetum  on  03/03  at  12:15 AM

I’m sure his weightlifting routine for penis enlargement would get him tons of money ... if it worked.

Comment #19: Ms Kate  on  03/03  at  01:55 AM

KysoK—-Wow.  I am crying with laughter over that one.

“This is not a high-five situation.” FTW!!!

Comment #20: Kyra  on  03/03  at  02:04 AM

It takes a real man to get down on his knees for Jesus, and, to please his Lord after all that kneeling, bend over. If Vox Day squeals manfully enough, I’m sure Jesus will reward studly Theodore by ordering him to take his vorpal sword in hand and casually slaughter a few toddlers, because that sort of behavior is OK if Jesus tells you to do it, and what kind of immoral atheist would you be if you refused?

Comment #21: Ken Cope  on  03/03  at  03:04 AM

I can’t even make fun of him anymore.  The reality’s worse than any mockery.  smile

Comment #22: Lisa KS  on  03/03  at  03:56 AM

Theodore Beale, aka Vox Day, is one of the most asinine people ever to post on the internet, which of course is saying quite a bit.  From his Greatest Hits collection:

if a woman consents to extramarital sex, she is committing a moral offense which is equal to that committed by the man who engages in consensual sex with her, or by the man who, in the absence of such consent, rapes her

You forgot, Amanda, a really big red car is the prerequisite, else you ain’t really tryin’

Comment #26: firefall  on  03/03  at  12:43 PM

I take it back; I must make fun.

Comment #27: Lisa KS  on  03/03  at  04:43 PM

I regularly lifted (before a crazy fucked shoulder that I acquired in an unrelated incident) more than that, more often than that.

And I’m a woman, born female with XX chromosomes.  So I guess I am more of a “man” than “Vox Day”.

That and $2.00 will get me a cup of coffee.

Comment #28: JupiterPluvius  on  03/03  at  05:07 PM

Also, apparently he can’t Google for shit, because “female boxer beats male opponent” brings quite a few results, many with video.
