Next entry: Right wing vigilante fantasies Previous entry: The Question Of The Night

Questionably acted, technically problematic, and puerile…

But I LOL’d. And even more at the sequel, after the jump.

Sorry if these made the rounds already.

I like how “lol lol lol” becomes a strange war cry of the inexplicable fascination that some straight guys seem to have with the fact that, no, not everyone is straight.

I agree with your assessment: puerile, but kind of hilarious.

Funny because it’s true.

Hee!  And totally agree with the assessment, but it is fun.

Well, if it’s not puerile, it’s not the Net.  smile

I liked the pissy fight between Something Awful and Ebaums.  And the love affair of Digg and Cracked

This is definitely one of those things that could’ve easily been 10 times better with a little more care put into it. At the same time, when it cuts to the Cracked guy talking about the sixth most underrated smurf of all time, I definitely lol’d a bit.

Some of the logo nametags were hard to read in the sequel.  I never did get which websites were supposed to be having the (male) gay hookup…  Then again I don’t hang out in the d00d gamer nerd part of the tubes, anyway.  In fact I was wondering why the Gawker-verse and Gofugyourself weren’t thown in there.  Maybe there’ll be another one where Gofugyourself is jealous that Superficial got together with TMZ, so she gets revenge by hooking up with Perez Hilton.

Oh, and IMDB-girl was BRILLIANT.

Also I probably shouldn’t have laughed about livejournal, but I did.

Comment #9: The Opoponax  on  09/27  at  01:43 PM

I couldn’t make out some of the website names…

Funny though…

Was rotten.com in there somewhere?

I love IMDB. Some of the stuff they have on movies is just priceless… Like in Star Wars, could you see Robin Williams playing Han Solo? Steve Martin? Roger Daltrey?

And this exchange:

Due to the limited budget the American cast members and crew (including George Lucas) all decided to fly coach class to England, rather than first class. When Carrie Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds heard about this she called George Lucas, complaining about how insulting it was for her daughter to be flying coach. Carrie Fisher was in the room with George Lucas when he took the call, and after a few minutes asked if she could talk to her mother. When George Lucas handed her the phone she simply said, “Mother, I want to fly coach, will you fuck off?!” and hung up.

And that the studio had a problem with a naked Wookie and wanted to put shorts on Chewbacca!

Opo, I believe they say “College” and “Humor,” so I guess they’re trying to say CollegeHumor is all about gay sex?  Or something.

I have seen this happen with far smaller films and far less important cast members with far less influential families.

In fact my take on this is not that everyone “decided” to fly coach, but that they were made to by the line producer or somesuch.  And that the above-the-line folks were good sports about it, as they often tend to be.  It’s the second assistant steadicam operator or Third Stormtrooper On The Left who tend to be inexplicably prissy about that sort of thing.

That said, I get very impatient very quickly with apocryphal behind-the-scenes anecdotes about Star Wars.  I’m pretty sure that none of them are ever, ever true.  Mainly because there are so many of them, and they just get sillier and sillier as time goes by.

I remember the party before this one.  That was cool.  We had a whole bunch of rooms in this one mansion, and we used to knock holes in them to fire flamethrowers through.

And Kibo was always there…

Were *you* one of the assholes who used to keep crossposting crap from alt.religion.kibology into alt.fan.q and alt.sex.fetish.startrek that forced us to create a moderated newsgroup to get away from you?

God, I hated those people. It’s kind of funny in retrospect, though.

Nope.  But the least said about the great alt-tasteless vs rec.pets.cats crossover, the better…
