Apologies

Personal

Had class from 9-6 today, and my final research memo was due, which is why I’ve been MIA the past few days.  Be back tomorrow at full(er) force.

Dude.  If you feel like you have to apologize for that, how are you going to make it through finals?  People know you’re in law school; they expect you to disappear into hell periodically.

Wait.

We’re supposed to apologize?

Uh, yeah? You owe us, your faithful readers, with constant updates of well-thought out and powerfully argued posts about the “Important Matters of the Day.” Or at least fart jokes.

Or at least fart jokes.

“Hellooo Mr. Frog!” called the scorpion across the water, “Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?”

“Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to fart on my head?” asked the frog hesitantly.

(See what I cross-threaded there?)

Heh, everyone here’s just finishing up their final memo for the semester as well on the first-year end.  Cite-checking takes a surprisingly long time the first few tries.

You guys must be doing the old primitive way, with books rather than computers.

1L at GW - memos suck, and upcoming finals (week after thanksgiving!) suck even more.

1st semester 1L year = worst it will ever be; upside is, it’s almost over. Don’t worry. You’ll see people again in mid-December. And the beer will then taste better than it ever has.

p.s. Thanksgiving is a trick.  If you spend more than one day with friends & family instead of outlines, the grade gods will see your impudence and smite you (unless an offering is made…).  I’ve seen it happen.
