American Petroleum Institute ad on CNN, this morning: “While America’s oil and natural gas industry earns less than many other industries…”

If only we’d been drilling off the Gulf Coast, rather than depending so heavily on foreign oil, this never would have happened.

Also, the only people who complain about big companies making lots of money are liberal fascist communists. Why do you hate capitalism?

Honest question, if they really pay $3 tax for every $1 profit as they claim (although I’ll have to look at an analysis that isn’t written by right-wing pundits closely for proof,) aren’t they admitting that we would all be better off if they were a public utility?
