Well done Obama/Biden campaign! Now the waiting game really begins.

I’m turning off my TV for the next 6 days! This anxiety is killing me!

I’d vote for the Cod/Piemaker ticket.

I just saw kinda a weird McCain ad. “Barack Obama is not ready. Yet.”

WTF is the “yet” ?

Comment #3: Roxanne  on  10/29  at  09:43 PM

it gave me the same warm fuzzies that i get when watching PBS specials. the tone was pitch perfect, a bit of policy, a bit of “look, see, i’m a normal guy, ok, not karl marx, not osama bin laden, just a normal guy like you, only you kno, smarter.”

Yeah, nail in the coffin for McCain.

Man, my toddler hid both tv remotes and the damn things were trying to record other shows.  Thank the Discoball I live next door to my parents (it’s a condo, they are literally on the other side of the wall).  All 3 kids and I trooped over with the spaghetti (if they are eating, they aren’t talking) and watched.

Dad and I teared up.  Damn that B. Hussein.  He makes me hope.

Republicans have the same problem now Democrats did in the 80s under Reagan—they got no optimism. Every response to Obama from Republicans is pessimistic and dark, and Americans don’t respond well to it.

Comment #7: Ben D.  on  10/29  at  09:46 PM

Yeah, when Bill Richardson came on, my thoughts were:

Shave the neckbeard!!!11!!  A goatee would be just fine, but the neckbeard has to go!

Oh, that’s true Ben D.

They’re always trying to paint Obama as the anti-American Mr. Negative doesn’t think the US is the greatest.

But, the place is screwed up.  so badly now that not even Fox can hide it all.  Obama does offer hope.  Hope that we can be a decent country again.  Hope that we can get out of that war of choice.  Hope that we can have competent people running agencies that make us better.

What does McCain offer?  Lower taxes for the rich, higher deficits, and 100 years in Iraq.

That is a tough sell.

Well Carter and Mondale tried to paint Reagan as a let-them-eat cake, cold, heartless plutocrat who was going to screw the poor.

Of course he WAS all those things. But he laid the sunny, optimistic, America-is-the-Greatest B.S. on so well it didn’t matter. Obama can do that just like Reagan did, and unlike Reagan he actually has good policies.

I wasn’t around to watch it and will get to it on the intartubes later - what was that about the Harry Potter vote?

Comment #11: Rebecca  on  10/29  at  09:57 PM

Can I liveblog it again when it airs in my timezone?

Comment #12: Auguste  on  10/29  at  10:05 PM

Michelle said Barry takes time for his children every day and tries to do something special with each of his girls.  For Malia, it was reading through all 7 Harry Potter books.  We don’t know what special activity he and Sasha share.

So…all your Potterverse belongs to Blackazoid.

Dad and I teared up.

I didn’t. It was just dusty in here, that’s all. Really, really dusty.

Damn that B. Hussein.  He makes me hope.

I know. Strange feeling, isn’t it?

I also had a WTF reaction about McCain’s ad about how Obama isn’t ready… yet.  Also, he’s un-American, like, now, but, you never know, he might get better!

I think they’ve realized, way way way too late in the game, that people actually like this Barack fellow and that maybe, just maybe, they need to tone down the attacks. Or else they’re preparing for 2012, when they support Obama over Palin. “I know we said he wasn’t ready yet, but he’s certainly ready now!”

Comment #17: Dweeze  on  10/30  at  01:47 AM

It’s also up on Obama’s own website. Dunno which would be better. If Sergey Brin is in the tank for Obama, I’m sure it runs great on YouTube.
