Did Anyone Ask For A Thug Thizzle?

RaceRepublicans

imageA McCain supporter says something that I’m sure some liberal somewhere will call “racist” or “offensive”, right after they get done calling Sarah Palin a man or something:

Former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating, a McCain campaign co-chairman, edged up to an explicitly racial attack on Barack Obama on Thursday, describing the Illinois Senator as a “guy of the street” before raising his youthful drug use.

Appearing on Dennis Miller’s radio show, Keating charged that the Democratic nominee was covering up his “very extreme” record, and urged Obama to be more honest with Americans. “He ought to admit,” Keating said, “‘You know, I’ve got to be honest with you. I was a guy of the street. I was way to the left. I used cocaine. I voted liberally, but I’m back at the center.’”

He should really have backed off there.  Calling a black dude “centrist” will get you shot in the hood.

I was way to the left. I used cocaine.

cocaine *sheesh* even as a druggie they paint him as elitist.  I always though coke was a republican drug myself.

Since Cindy Lou’s doing stump speeches and attacks, can we discuss her drug use and obtaining prescriptions she had written under the names of other people now?

I’m so sick of these racist asswipes and their simple-minded world view.

I feel ya.

Lets watch how this season shapes up. There may be some part we can play to undercut the assholes.

It’s like some kinda crazy two-front war.

The ‘elemental’ racists in the US just want to start shit at home. They’re dangerous, and right now they are burgeoning.

The ‘neocons’ don’t want to start shit at home. They want to start shit all over the rest of the world but remain safe at home.

I can’t take my eye off of either group.

I’m sure Keating was just as concerned about George Bush’s unsavory past, which is why we know all the details of his drunkenness, carousing, and substance abuse problems which ultimately prevented Bush’s election as President…

...or not…

They’re like cockroaches, and “the light” is information- good solid, backed up information.

Shine it on them.

Whoa, the dude who is running on the platform of the putatively liberal party voted liberally?! You don’t fucking say! Next you’ll be telling me that cashiers take your money in stores and professors read lectures to students.

No one should have to apologize for being a liberal; I certainly don’t demand anyone apologize for their conservatism, although it’s pretty clear which of the two approaches has yielded the more harmful results for this nation. The only proper response to idiots like Frank Keating would be to roll your eyes and say, “Are you shitting me, you dumbass?” Since you can’t win any logical arguments against them, you might as well humiliate them instead.

I think it’s wonderful Frank Keating admits he once used cocaine and lived on the street.
He is talking about himself, isn’t he?

Um, yes, I asked for the thug thizzle, but I ordered it with meth, not cocaine. Send this back to the cook, please.

Word up homie! On the mean streets of Hyde Park-Kenwood, you hafta watch your back after that kinda smacktalk. And don’t get me started on those revisionist punk-asses.
Of course in HPK (as it is known nowhere at all), you hafta watch for the Bork-Milton Friedman Homeboys. They do drive-bys with Gatling guns.

(Note to the non-Chicagoans: Hyde Park-Kenwood is Obama’s hood, but it’s also the University of Chicago’s hood. It’s pretty wealthy and gang violence is practically non-existent. Aside from the Objectivists and Friedmanites who are offensive every time they breathe.)

Yeah, Obama should admit to all his mistakes.  In a very public way.  Maybe he could write a book about it.  He could call it, oh I don’t know, “Dreams From My Father”.  Something like that.  I’m just brainstorming.
