Don’t forget: Pandagoal for the World Cup

Sports

Cute. Fierce. Unpredictable. Just like the footy.

With the US and England revving up for action today, don’t forget to follow @Pandagoal and head over to Pandagoal.com after the game for recap and conversation. We’re only in the second round of World Cup action, and there’s already plenty of excitement, controversy, and red card-age to discuss.

Remember: every time you watch a soccer game, a wingnut loses his mind.

I’ve watched every match thus far. Just doing my part.

What’s the point? I thought that was already the case….

Unfortunately, those bloody vuvuzelas (apparent proper use guide here) put me at the same risk after about 10 minutes.

I’ve tried adjusting the sound on the TV and the computer, but those methods strip out some of the ambient crowd noise that actually add value.

Judging from your facebook rants, Amanda, you are sounding just like an English footie fan. ‘We wuz robbed!’ ‘Who’s the bastard in the black!’ and so on… Capital!

Very funny, Lee (truly—someone just asked why I laughed). I’ve modified your ASCII art to show you where you can stick it. smile

Dear Dog!  With all the soccer watching going on, is somebody going around cleaning this stuff up?  What if a child finds it lying there next to the sidewalk and decides to play with it?  We need to end the World Cup right now before we have a wave of children maimed by exposure to the concentrated stupid and hateful!

Stuff the World Cup and the wingnuts.  No TV, new romance, and it’s the weekend.  I’m going to spend my time doing the boyfriend thing instead.

Wait - what’s this strange and unsettling sensation?  Could it be - happiness?

@11 - Stamp it out quickly, or it might spread.  We don’t need none of that around here.  Maybe we should quarantine you for good measure.

Does it count double (2 wingnuts lose their minds) if I watch in Spanish?  Univision seems to have better coverage, overall, and I’m rembering some basic vocab.  So it’s educational!  Would that count triple?
