Glenn Beck: The World’s Number One Source For Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck has launched a new news site called The Blaze, which is a truly fantastic news source for Glenn Beck.

It’s got such stories as why Al Sharpton doesn’t like Glenn Beck, why some guy at the New York Times likes Glenn Beck, children who came to see Glenn Beck, clergy who came to see Glenn Beck, Howard Kurtz on Glenn Beck and a message from Glenn Beck.

What I appreciate most about this influx of Glenn Beck, which is an alternative to such websites as glennbeck.com and foxnews.com/glennbeck, is that this one uses different fonts.  And that, my friends, is the most important innovation of all.

One folk, one nation, one Beck.

Thank goodness that link was there, or I wouldna believed ya.

Comment #3: norbizness  on  08/31  at  11:32 AM

How many people did you get to come see you speak Jesse?

Comment #4: Casp  on  08/31  at  11:36 AM

In a hundred years, people will talk about this period in history and mention Glenn Beck in the same way current historians mention Father Coughlin.

Comment #5: BlackBloc  on  08/31  at  11:36 AM

Casp: does Glenn Beck ask for the reacharound, or do you just give it to him out of pure love?

Comment #6: Jesse Taylor  on  08/31  at  11:45 AM

“Glenn Beck has launched a new news site called The Blaze, which is a truly fantastic news source for Glenn Beck.”

...“The Blaze”?  Why not “Beck for Beckernecks” or “BeckerneckLand” or “The Beckerneck”?...

Comment #7: MikeEss  on  08/31  at  11:53 AM

Well, he wouldn’t be a modern conservative pundit if he didn’t have BS “independent” support. It’s TheBlaze is to Beck as The Tobacco Institute was to the cancer-stick industry.

Comment #8: Gracchus.  on  08/31  at  12:09 PM

How many people did you get to come see you speak Jesse?

By your “logic,” Two and a Half Men is a better show than Mad Men.

Chairman Beck’s Little Red Website…

One folk, one nation, one Beck.

That sounds familiar.  Reminds me a little of “Ein Volk, ein Reich, <strike>Ayn Rand</strike> Ein Fuhrer.”  Purely coincidence I’m sure, since we wouldn’t want to prematurely end a thread mocking a megalomaniac by invoking the Godwin rule.

Comment #11: libdevil  on  08/31  at  12:28 PM

Jesse’s audience is limited to people who can think and speak in full sentences and are able to cite and follow sources.
Of course, being a black man limits his audience to people who aren’t bigots as well.

Jesse, we got PZ Myers to vist the Soggy Northwest, when are you coming to Seattle.
I bet you get a bigger crowd than Beck.

Ah, the Intarweb’s version of a vanity-press published book paid-for book review.

Except it never ends.  Hooray.

Glenn Beck!  Now with more Glenn Beck!

“My clothes have never been so white as they are with Glenn Beck.”

“Nothing gets these hands cleaner!”

BlackBloc, I admit I had no idea who Father Coughlin was, but your comment got me to read his Wikipedia page, and this part stuck out:

“On December 18, 1938 two thousand of Coughlin’s followers marched in New York protesting potential asylum law changes that would allow more Jews (including refugees from Hitler’s persecution) into the U.S., chanting, ‘Send Jews back where they came from in leaky boats!’”

Nothing ever changes, does it?

America has this amazingly long history of isolationist/nativist/racist (because frankly in America all three go hand in hand) that seems to flare up every so often.  We had a fairly quiet 20 years or so but now it’s time to turn up the volume on idiots like Glenn Beck and watch as America wallows in its own filth.

I wonder how much propaganda one man can generate before it starts to implode upon himself.  His house of card lies held up by his followers stupidity can’t stand forever.

Gracchus, it never ceases to surprise how so many people confuse quantity with quality.wink.

Comment #20: Lee  on  08/31  at  02:02 PM

All this guy has to do is put out an eponymous magazine with himself on every cover, and he’ll have beaten out Oprah Winfrey for most self-obsessed media celebrity.

(Actually, I think Oprah is retiring, so Glenn will have the title to himself. If she actually does retire. I’ll believe it when it happens.)

“How many people did you get to come see you speak Jesse?”

This is about the most childish thing I have ever heard.  This ranks with the “no, you’re a towel” comeback from Towelie to Cartman, except that was fictional.

Godwin only applies if there’s no valid comparison; if the shoe fits, though….

Glenn Beck: Because it could always burn a little more.

Comment #27: Mighty Ponygirl  on  08/31  at  03:04 PM

Any unintentional comedy in the title “The Blaze”? Odd obliviousness for someone whose core audience always struck me liking their beer cold, their TV loud, and their homosexuals fllllaaaming.

Thread hijack @Cynickal-

PZ was up here and I missed him? Damn my living in the backwater shithole part of the state…

BTW, 30 comments and still no Know-Nothing troll to tell us how Mekskin “illegal alien gangs” are undermining our hardworking, white American way of life and paving the way for Islamofascist socialists. Guess the banning of our proud racist troll threw a scare into the others.

Yeah, he was doing his 30th? (40th?) School reunion and stopped at Pike Brewery where he was mobbed by drunken fan <strike>boys</strike> atheists.

We need Jesse to come over and show us he can hold his liquer better.  (Or at least dance on the table better)

PZ danced on a table? We couldn’t get him to do that in Fargo!

We’d have to ask Stalin.

w00t!  Avoided Godwin-ing myself!

Stalin had pre-internet media dominated and absolute control of the government bureaucracy.  The more apt comparison is Father Coughlin.  He lasted about two decades before collapsing but Beck has already risen higher than Coughlin did and in the modern age of short attention spans will most likely fall far sooner.  An election cycle or two and no republican control of the federal government should just about do Beck in.
