Not, as McCain seems to think, the media’s love affair with Obama. No, it’s the transparency of McCain’s attempt to use the Republican strategy of “make our strength look like their weakness.” McCain-as-media-victim is about as plausible as - well, as plausible as anything else Americans seem willing to believe, which, again, is why it’s too serious to be funny.
