Wow. Where did these videos come from? I’m an actor, and it’s really obvious that several of these people had never even read a teleprompter before, let alone know how to get into character and act. How did they even land a screen test? Is it because most actors are liberals (assumption on my part) and refused to apply, so they had to get the dregs? Another interesting thought that came to me…with so many people out of work in the states right now, would a left-leaning actor take a job like this? I hate that ad more than anything I’ve seen in a long time. How the fuck they can twist a viewpoint that ROBS GLBT people of equality and freedom into something that supposedly takes away the freedom of christians is beyond me. I hope that the ad’s overly dramatic fear-based fake-christian-concern bullshit works in favor of same-sex marriage, vs. against it.

They are acting in that way that says to me they were thinking “this is the stupidest shit I’ve ever read for a screen test. How the hell do I make this sound sincere and believable?”
Or they suck and I’m just projecting.
Greenscreen idea: Matte in the sepia scenes from “Benjamin Button” where the hapless farmer keeps getting hit by lightning, while the poorly-rehearsed teleprompter sanctimony is read over and over.
And line them up, have them read their lines in unison, like the Cylon-Borg they are.
Think of all the people out there in community theater and church plays. Some of them have to be wingnuts.
