‘Inside the Mind of Mark Foley’ radio show debuts tonight

You too can land a radio show gig by sending pervy IMs to young men who are serving their country as Congressional Pages.

Mark Foley, the Florida Republican who left Congress in 2006 amid accusations he sent lurid e-mails to male House pages, is credited with helping to sour the electorate’s view of the Grand Old Party in a year when Nancy Pelosi and the Dems swept into power.

In the years since, he’s been in real estate investment, contemplating a return to politics.

Tonight, he makes his debut as a radio talk show host. “Inside the Mind of Mark Foley,”  billed by the station as a program that “will expose the inner workings of Washington, D.C.,” airs at 6 p.m. EST on WSVU-AM (960) out of North Palm Beach, Fla. It can also be heard at www.seaviewam960.com.

Is this the kind of inner workings that Mark will share with listeners?

Maf54: You in your boxers, too?
Teen: Nope, just got home. I had a college interview that went late.
Maf54: Well, strip down and get relaxed.

Another message:

Maf54: What ya wearing?
Teen: tshirt and shorts
Maf54: Love to slip them off of you.

And this one:

Maf54: Do I make you a little horny?
Teen: A little.
Maf54: Cool.

The language gets much more graphic, too graphic to be broadcast, and at one point the congressman appears to be describing Internet sex.

Blasts from the past:
* Foley patted male page’s behind on House floor
* Three more pages speak to ABC about Foley’s ‘approaches’
* Foley interrupted floor vote to have cybersex with page
* Page threatened, Foley still using AOL screen name
* Report: Drunken Foley showed up at page’s dorm

Are they calling it Radio NAMBLA?

After that review of Foley’s IM messages, I’m wondering if radio is really the best medium for someone who I now think sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.

There’s really no depth they can sink to that will keep them off the wingnut welfare train, is there?  If it weren’t just so fucking wrong, becoming a professional bigot or anti-tax nut (or both, why pick?) seems like a career with great security.  Even for pederasts.

Did they really think that “Inside the Mind of” was a good title? Or is this just another example of daring everybody to say something about the emperor’s clothes.

Did they really think that “Inside the Mind of” was a good title?

They didn’t think they could get ‘Inside the Pants of” past Obama’s FCC…

Hmmm….

What mind? Also, will they be playing Nirvana’s “Nevermind” on the show…..

Oh, I don’t believe it. Either this guy is absolutely desperate for money, or he has no sense of shame whatsoever.

What kills me about Foley is, he made a name for himself (or tried to) raising a stink over websites that featured non-nude but revealing pictures of underage girls. And all the time he was trying to get into the male pages’ shorts. I wonder if he understood the hypocrisy, then or now.

Damn, it really is all OK if you are Republican…  :(

Is anyone taking bets on when someone at the radio station will get fired for playing “It’s Raining Men” or “I Know What Boys Like” as a bump on his show? It will be interesting to see who buys ad time on this train wreck.
