CNN's Lou Dobbs stopped by the booth and exclaimed, "My wife will love this!"
Hmmm...why would the page on the Obama Waffles site linked above suddenly get pulled? After all, Lou Dobbs, a speaker at the Values Voter Summit, stopped by the vendor table to give a slamming endorsement of the product; it depicts Barack Obama as a Muslim bug-eyed Aunt Jemima. The photo, as you can see, shows an approving Dobbs with a box of the mix in his hand.
For those of you who may have missed yesterday's post, Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, two aspiring Klansmen writers from Tennessee set up a booth sponsored by Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council to sell the Obama Waffles, asserting it was "political satire."
After Think Progress covered this story, the page was yanked from the ObamaWaffles web site, and FRC issued a feeble press release trying to distance itself from the product, claiming it didn't vet the vendor's product and didn't realize the boxes on display were “offensive material.”
The vendors were smiling and enjoying brisk sales before FRC realized this was bad PR for the professional "Christian" organization.
Gee, with a big banner at the display table (see the video below the fold), it's odd that no one affiliated with the pious womb-controlling, anti-gay FRC noticed something amiss with the Muslim Minstrel party going on over there and thought about ringing the big boys about a potential PR problem. Ahem.

Be glad they didn’t package this junk with an alarm clock and claim that it was endorsed by Sleep ‘n Eat. Unbelievable.
Why the hell is Lou Dobbs still working for CNN? I’m amazed he wasn’t fired months ago for being a racist fucknozzle.
I noticed that Joyner didn’t mention the comparison to Aunt Jemima when he was doing his “deconstruction” of the piece, and his “advice” to editorial cartoonists was more of the same--don’t support Obama, or you won’t be able to make fun of him for the next four years. There are times where whites may really have a problem figuring out if something is racist, but this isn’t one of them. This isn’t even close.

“Obama Waffles,” as wretched as they are, that is some low-hanging fruit on the satire tree. The rest of it...I just want to tear my hair out.

They’re not going to find it on their own. It’s going to have to be shoved in their faces, and even then, it’s unlikely that CNN will do more than force an apology. Dobbs is a ratings winner for them, which says more about our country than his talent.
But of course, they’re satirizing Obama’s political positions. See, he “waffles,” you might even say he “talks jive” or that he’s just “cooning” us. See? Satire!

One wonders if the interviewer was African-American (or anyo ther race other than white) would they be such smiling, “aw shucks!” douchebags?
Moment from a Canadian bank, last week. CNN is on. “New” footage is shown of McCain being released from captivity: the all-American hero returning home. Wolf Blitzer then cuts to footage of Obama’s family in Kenya: African scenes, (the excuse being that his grandparents had been robbed). Voices in the bank: “Jeeeezuss!” and a muttered “could you make it any more obvious?” at the obvious attempt to create an anti-Obama association in the eyes of viewers.
Sweet smokin’ Jesus I hate these people. The two living brain donors that created this shit are human garbage. This makes me so fucking angry I want to find these motherfuckers and push them over a cliff. I can’t believe they’re even the same species I am. Hateful, entitled mouth-breathers.
I’m sorry. Those fucks are from my home state. And people still wonder why I moved to California.
Wow, these two seem to be waffling a whole lot to try to explain away all the obvious racism involved with their product. I’m switching to pancakes!
fyi: there might be a glitch on the page—my pc browser displays your quote box so that it extends to the left and covers both faces. my mac browser however, still shows both faces unobscured.
