Once Again, Music Kills Women And Eats Babies

imageThankfully, after nearly days of professional investigation of the murder of a U.S. Census worker in Kentucky, a conservative blogger has collected all the gold and Cracker Barrel gift certificates his readership can offer, and is headed down there to Get To The Bottom Of This Mess, like Encyclopedia Brown would.  And he has a hunch:

BTW, some people have a crazy hunch this Kentucky thing might involve teenagers and the horrorcore rap scene. Maybe they’re wrong about that, too . . .

You see, horrorcore rapper Syko Sam is suspected in the murder of four Virginians

That’s the connection.

Seriously.

Murder A was committed in Virginia, and Murder B was committed 322 miles away at a different time in a different place in a different way.  But, since we know and have known since the 1950s that all strange new forms of music are responsible for all crimes which happen in places where simple folk live, Tech N9ne is now Public Enemy Number One.  Barring that, Robert Stacy McCain can just go track down Steve Sax

UPDATE: Alternately, R.S. McCain could track down Dan Riehl’s theory that the murdered worker was a child predator, which is based on two ironclad pieces of evidence:

1.) What if he was?

2.) Wouldn’t it be irresponsible not to theorize?

Certainly, we believe things of greater import based on less evidence, such as gravity.

Coulda been worse. I was assuming they’d accuse that Random Black Man who kills all white people eventually. And since it was Random Black Man, that would mean that Hitler Obama himself killed that census taker! J’accuse!

Comment #1: Scott  on  09/27  at  09:13 PM

I like that they also managed to invoke their terror of teenagers.

Comment #2: jessilikewhoa  on  09/27  at  09:39 PM

Encyclopedia Brown doesn’t let slip what his theory is until he’s certain it’s correct. Please don’t sully his good name.

Isn’t McCain’s last paragraph about the horrorcore thing a joke, though, playing on the whole “crazy unsubstantiated rumors on the internet” idea? I think he was joking. Not that I know his style. And good lord, his readers have chipped in the money for his travel expenses to go “investigate” or “report”? I have half a mind to announce something I need to travel in order to do, and hit up my readers for cash.

Comment #3: Orange  on  09/27  at  09:56 PM

Syko Sam is a white guy with red hair. I am now frightened of redheads.

Comment #4: Orange  on  09/27  at  09:58 PM

They tried to warn everyone about Elvis Presley’s swiveling hips.

They tried to warn us about the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones, and The Who.

They tried to warn us about Ozzie Osborne, Alice Cooper, and Marilyn Manson.

And we just wouldn’t listen.

And now people are dead.

I hope you’re all happy now…

(At least Syko is a apparently a white guy.  Thank god for small favors…)

It was Carrot Top! The roids finally made him get ‘raged!

....Don’t make me post pictures. I will. Bwah ha ha!

Comment #7: ginmar  on  09/27  at  10:08 PM

Okay, I’m an uninformed hick.  Someone tell me what this has to do with The Simpsons.  I only watched up to season 3 or 5.  And that was in when it aired.  I’m middle-aged, married, kidded, and white, dammit.

Comment #8: idiosynchronic  on  09/27  at  10:09 PM

idiosynchronic, that episode features ballplayer Steve Sax getting picked up by the Springfield PD on a traffic stop and accused of every unsolved crime in the city.

Comment #9: Scott  on  09/27  at  10:19 PM

Orange - see, McCain is such a terrible writer that I wasn’t sure, but if you read it in context of the post, it seems like he’s arguing that “crazy people on the internet” (of whom he is one) have this theory, which some may discount.

Of course, he may have meant the exact opposite, and just utterly failed to communicate it.  I’m expecting to see a “stupid liberals don’t understand jokes that aren’t written like jokes” update in the next hour or so.

Comment #10: Jesse Taylor  on  09/27  at  10:24 PM

Well, somebody at Counterpunch, which is supposedly on our side of the political fence, thinks Annie Le might have been murdered at Yale because she caught the murderer sexually gratifying himself by shoving lab rats up his ass, so stupid theorizing about headline murders transcends ideology.

Comment #11: SteveM  on  09/27  at  10:49 PM

That McCain is a real piece of work. When he’s not blathering about what a highly skilled professional journalist he is, he’s begging people for money.

Comment #12: Bitter Scribe  on  09/27  at  11:05 PM

It still bothers me that Stacy Mac and Git Reihl have yet to fully investigate the allegations that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990.  Somebody must answer for this, but Glenn Beck won’t deny it!

Comment #13: Ms Kate  on  09/27  at  11:14 PM

The problem with us libruhls is that we can’t just intrinsically understand that men who actually work with children are automatically suspect for all sorts of gayness and child predationness.  It is just so!

Comment #14: Ms Kate  on  09/27  at  11:16 PM

WTF kind of parents drive their kids from VA to MI so they can see horrorcore shows? Back in ‘84, my mom had a strict one tank of gas in the wood-paneled station wagon to take us to punk and hardcore shows.

Comment #15: felagund  on  09/27  at  11:21 PM

I wonder what kind of music Glenn Beck was listening to when he allegedly raped and murdered a girl in 1990.  I bet it was something really sick and twisted, like classic Pat Boone or Barry Manilow…

Comment #16: MikeEss  on  09/27  at  11:41 PM

MikeEss:

I am shocked that you would repeat the unsubstantiated rumor that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990.  If it were true that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990, don’t you think some evidence that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990 would have surfaced by now?  Admittedly, no one has yet been able to disprove that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990.  Still, it is irresponsible to speculate that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990 without evidence, and anyone who suggests that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990 ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Comment #17: Captain Bathrobe  on  09/28  at  12:43 AM

I am shocked that you would repeat the unsubstantiated rumor that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990.

Well, I can understand the impulse, but the fact remains that Glenn Beck bas not addressed the rumours that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.

While technically he remains unconvicted of the crime, and indeed, remains unprosecuted for the present (as is always the way with the rich), doesn’t the fact that he doesn’t speak on whether Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990 say volumes?  No smoke without fire.  Why does he not address the subject?  What is he hiding?

Where’s the proof he didn’t?

This video is interesting - it’s an interview with a prominent horrorcore artist who met Syko Sam.  Check it out.

Raging about That Dangerous New Music started long before the 1950s; a generation before, it was jazz that was destroying morals and unleashing animalistic passions.

With all the Glenn Beck rumors I just had to throw this into the mix http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Alt/alt.politics/2006-01/msg02236.html Morning Joe, Murderer? We’ll let you decide. Fuck the police and the courts.

Hey! Us MC1Rers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanocortin_1_receptor are more sensitive to pain. http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/07/30/redhead.pain.dentist/
So it makes sense that we are more sympathetic and empathetic to people’s pain. Which means we not only have souls but are more soulful than non-MC1Rers. That kid is an anomoly. Plus the title of Jesse’s post says the music made him do it….so there!

Comment #25: shakahi  on  09/28  at  09:04 AM

Geoduck, it goes back way further than that.  Waltzing was most certainly going to damage the moral structure of society!  Couples actually touched!  And were physical!

You know those Andre Rieu events?  He’s just trying to recreate the Strauss parties of centuries past.

Comment #26: Ms Kate  on  09/28  at  09:45 AM

Dan Riehl is the Elder High King of Projection. If he accuses someone of something, you can bet your bottom dollar that he’s doing it. In light of this incontrovertable evidence, someone get CPS in to save his kids (though I hope he doesn’t have any).

Comment #27: Scott  on  09/28  at  10:01 AM

The pedophilia accusation is nonsense. He had “FED” scrawled on him, not “PEDO.” It wouldn’t have been that much more difficult to close that F and add an O to make sure everyone who found him knew the “real” reason that he was lynched.

Comment #28: Mighty Ponygirl  on  09/28  at  10:04 AM

In related news, I’m now eagerly awaiting news that the Washington Post is giving Riehl his own column. Sucking up to the lunatics seems to be all they do nowadays.

Comment #29: Scott  on  09/28  at  10:04 AM

When will Dan Riehl deny the allegations that he practiced ancient grecian rites with young boys?  I know it’s just a rumor, but ...

Comment #30: Ms Kate  on  09/28  at  10:19 AM

I’ve heard some really terrible rumors about the depravity of Dan Riehl’s ancient grecian rites practiced with young boys, Ms Kate. The fact that he refuses to deny them, almost as if he’s wishing the horrible, horrible rumors will go away—it’s very suspicious and obscene and illegal.

Someone should string the fucker up, just in case.

Comment #31: Scott  on  09/28  at  10:27 AM

Against my intuition, I went and read Riehl’s piece and the comments afterward. He is vile. I assume he’s writing shit like this for shock value, but it’s so hateful and calculated that it’s more than shocking; it’s sickening. What a repulsive fucker he is!

Comment #32: DonnaH  on  09/28  at  10:58 AM

Listening to the recollections of witnesses to the Malcolm and Dorsey lynching or the student strike at Moton High School, in Farmville, Virginia, reminds the viewer that those events, which occurred some fifty years ago, a still a part of the living memory of their participants—memories still powerful enough to draw tears to the eyes of those remembering the 1946 lynching of the two former servicemen and their wives, and smiles of admiration to the faces of Barbara Johns’ classmates. For students beginning to embark on an oral history project, the documentary series is a powerful reminder that what is history to some is memory to others.

Yes, these things don’t happen in Farmville.  Uh huh.  Must be that evil and nasty internet influences and horrorcore rap music.  Dadgumit, in my day we didn’t do none of that horrorcore rap stuff - we just beat the hell out of any n***er who dared try to go to high school!  Jest them uppity ones, see!  That’s good ol’ fashion god fearin entertainment!

My favorite part of McCain’s article is the pimping of his story in the Spectator: “Two phone calls and a little research was all it took to get that story.”  What story, exactly?  He got a couple of cops to bitch about bloggers, but they don’t go on to say what exactly the blogs are wrong about.

I’m not sure what he expects to find on his little jaunt to Manchester—I’m sure he can find plenty of bitchy quotes about the media and lots of wild speculation.  If he’s lucky he’ll find somebody who thinks black people did it.  (I think there are a few in Clay Co.)

Comment #35: The J Train  on  09/28  at  11:52 AM

Uh, Castro Valley. Not the big city. Not even really very near the big city.  (Hmm, where was that post about the alienating effect of suburbs/exurbs?)

Comment #36: paul  on  09/28  at  12:38 PM

I think that it is very important that someone, perhaps the very professional and very capable Reporter, RS McCain, investigate the allegations that Dan Riehl has a history of necrophilia.

How many of us need risk the possibility that Mr. Riehl will violate the corpses of our loved ones?

Comment #37: jerry_101  on  09/28  at  02:51 PM

Mr. Riehl is a busy man.  I have also heard allegations that he has been breeding and raising sheep with a certain specific anal tone, for use by himself and sale to his associates.  I’m sure we could find a website if we looked hard enough.

Comment #38: Ms Kate  on  09/28  at  04:09 PM

Jesse, ITYM Conservapedia Brown.

As for Dan-O, I have it on good authority that he prefers seals (and possibly walruses).

Comment #39: Johnny Pez  on  09/28  at  04:22 PM

The words FED and PEDO have two letters in common - E and D.

ED stands for erectile dysfunction.

Coincidence? I think not. Has anyone questioned Bob Dole regarding this matter?

Comment #40: AuntieMay  on  09/28  at  05:43 PM

It wouldn’t have been that much more difficult to close that F and add an O to make sure everyone who found him knew the “real” reason that he was lynched.

As anybody who ever found a carving of “BOOK YOU” would have recognized.

I just wanted to point out that, although no superstar as a ball player, Steve Sax was the best on-field crotch adjuster in baseball. Completely self-confident and uninhibited, the camera caught him organizing his drawers full of junk several times.

Comment #41: Hector B.  on  09/28  at  05:51 PM

Actually, Mr. Sparkman’s location is not all that far from Fort Campbell, KY home of the 101st Airmobile Division.  My theory is that Mr. Sparkman was a Secret Agent man checking out the mess halls at Fort Campbell.  One of the mess sergeants took umbrage, hanged him, and wrote “Fed” on his chest because he could not spell Federal.  The mess sergeant couldn’t cook either which is why Mr. Sparkman was turning him in.  Mrs. Sparkman is well aware of these facts but her loyalty to the US government and especially its Secret Mess Inspectors will not allow her to reveal her son’s secret information—that and fear of others in the Band of Mess Sergeants.

Comment #42: Schmedlap  on  09/28  at  08:12 PM

“Fed”? “Pedo”? You gots it all rong.

Everyone knows it was a backwards “B”.

And it’s not true that Riehl shoves dead hamsters up his rectum!

Live hamsters? Well, that may well be a different story.
