Strong third!  WooHoo!

You know, I love you guys, all of you at Pandagon.  I really do but I refuse to drive traffic for a site that has meaningless, “vote once a day” awards.  If the “award” site owners can actually do something meaningful to earn that traffic, maybe.

Can I just make a nice little “ice weasel’s favorite blog” banner for you instead?

Comment #2: ice weasel  on  01/07  at  03:23 PM

I’m just giving her a vote a day for every post I read that craps on Dennis Prager.  Because those were genuine quality shit.  I would smoke them.

Comment #3: Zifnab25  on  01/07  at  03:30 PM

Now, ice, it drives traffic.  Isn’t that reason enough?

Comment #4: Amanda Marcotte  on  01/07  at  03:31 PM

What ice weasel said.  And why do progressive blogs keep lining up to legitimize what contains such a strong element of right-wing wankfest?  I mean, seriously, look at most of the finalists.  Yeah, clearly, military blogs are comprised exclusively of fist-pumping thugs who think we should nuke all the sand n*gg*rs to hell, and then move on to American liberals.  Hey, is the dumbshit global warming denialist still holding a strong lead in best science blog over all the actual science blogs?  [CLICK]  ...Yup.  Geez, you’d think freepers would eventually run out of wank juice.

Oh, all right, I voted for Pandagon anyway.  Happy?

Comment #5: mds  on  01/07  at  03:37 PM

But Amanda, my point, my not so clearly expressed point was not that it drives traffic to you.  If that were the case I’d do it just for grins.  It drives traffic to asshat who is going to make money from having bogus web awards chocked full of wingnut freaks.

I’ll pass.

I’m guessing me making a banner for you wouldn’t be the same?

It’s ok, I can take it.  Just say no.

Sorry, but the satisfaction of seeing liberals sweep a blog award that was set up to push conservative blogs is reward enough for me.

Amen.  We takes our pleasures where we finds ‘em…however small.

I just voted and it shows Pandagon as 2nd (15.5%), right behind Bitch PHD (17.4%)...

Comment #10: MikeEss  on  01/07  at  04:54 PM

Yup, I just voted. Y’all are catching up fast.

Comment #11: Ben D.  on  01/07  at  04:55 PM

How about putting up some endorsements for other awards? Like, which bag of psychos would you pick out of the “best conservative blog” pack?

Comment #12: Incertus, Nacho Daddy  on  01/07  at  04:58 PM

Why is that bitch so popular?

I have heard of almost none of the blogs in the other categories, by the way. Am I really out of it?

Comment #13: Hector B.  on  01/07  at  05:05 PM

Best science, Pharyngula.

Comment #14: Samantha Vimes  on  01/07  at  06:06 PM

Bitch Ph.D. was first out of the gate asking for my vote, so I’m voting for them. Well, plus I know two of the Bitches in real life, have been to a theme park with one of them, and guess-blogged there a couple years ago. I’m ignoring the 87 other categories packed with blogs I either don’t know or don’t read.

Well, yeah, because the right-wing wankers spend all day stuffing the ballot box during nominations.  We’re better off only having a couple of progressive blogs in each category anyway since it doesn’t split the vote.  And how awesome would it be to make all of the right-wing wankers look at results that have Pandagon and Bitch PhD as the top two?  Really awesome.

Comment #16: Mnemosyne  on  01/07  at  06:55 PM

On second thought, Bitch Ph.D. has had guest bloggers who misspell “guest” as “guess.” Maybe I have misvoted.

Comment #17: Orange  on  01/07  at  07:52 PM

There’s always tomorrow, Orange!

[Should not be construed as an anti-BPhD sentiment. She’s awesome. And Pandagon has bloggers who still use the word awesome.]

Comment #18: Auguste  on  01/07  at  08:46 PM

I just voted at home, and Pandagon was only 2 votes behind The Bitch…

Comment #19: MikeEss  on  01/07  at  10:26 PM

I would like to personally thank the (smooth) operators of this blog for the SnorgTees advertisments. Stunning young women.

Ahem….I noticed their intelligence and left leaning politics first, of course.

Then you should encourage readers to vote Pharyngula in the Best Science category, which is currently being won handily by Watt’s Up With That, a non-science website run by imbeciles who think “weather equals climate” and deny global warming.
