Shorter Charles Krauthammer

It would have been perfectly okay if Obama’s Muslim ass would have declared his love for his Muslim brethren, but the rest of us don’t need him to speak for us.  It’s not like anyone elected the presumptuous motherfucker.

We “liberated Iraq”?  We bled for the sake of muslims in Afganistan? (and who did we kill??)  Kosovo was all about the muslims??? Gee, whiz, ethnic Albanians are all muslims and Albania is a MUSLIM country? Um ... not.

No wonder this guy’s pic makes it look like he just enjoyed a rank fart and was proud of it too!  Kind of characterizes his writing.

We kill you out of love.  It hurts us more than it hurts you.

The fuckers are busy rewriting the history books, I see. Apparently the last 8 years (more, since he’s dragging Kosovo and al into this) we were bombing the Middle East because we just *love them so much* that we were willing to die for them… Quick, somebody tell the new narrative to the Freepers. We’re not at war with Mideastia, we’ve never been at war with Mideastia.

How do these people sleep at night? (Rhetorical question. Answer: Next to a big wad of cash.)

I think that CK is a little worried.  If Obama comes up with an even slightly more balanced policy regarding Islam then that will get in the way of Israel doing whatever the F* it wants whenever it wants, using American weapons and financial aid to do so.

(Shrugs.)  One can be pro- or anti-Israeli or just plain neutral, but one cannot avoid the fact that the Americans have, with a minor exception here and there, been pretty much yes men for Israeli political and military policy for some considerable time now.

Why punish yourself by reading Krautfucker when you could be using the time to do something more pleasant and intellectually fulfilling, such as tearing your fingernails out with pliers?

Yes, who would ever conceive that Muslims might be peeved with us? Why, it beggars the imagination.

That’s an interesting persective. My own take is that he looks like his head has been preserved in formaldehyde for a decade or so.

Krauthammer asks: And what of that happy U.S.-Muslim relationship that Obama imagines existed “as recently as 20 or 30 years ago” that he has now come to restore?

Kroty neglects the 30th anniversary of the Camp David accords, which led directly to the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty. He also neglects the Reagan Administration’s arms-for-hostages deal, which eventually armed the evil revolutionary government of Iran directly—the proceeds going to the Contras in Nicaragua. US-Muslim happiness was as widespread as possible.

We kill you out of love.  It hurts us more than it hurts you.

Well, to be completely fair, I imagine it’s kinda hard to hurt when you’re dead, so it probably is hurting us more than it’s hurting them.

Respectfully, you are mischaracterizing the argument.  Krauthammer’s point is in the sub-title.  “We’ve never been Islam’s enemy.”  Obama’s words about respecting the Muslim world imply that America hasn’t done that the past 20-30 years, which is mildly insulting.

You may disagree with the assertion that Iraq has been liberated, but Krauthammer cites that to illustrate his contention that even during G.W. Bush’s term, many Americans died for the sake of Muslims.

Please don’t interpret this as bait.  I know I’m coming from a different standpoint than most of the Pandagon community, but I don’t think my comments are out of line.
