They Write Stories

Perhaps the worst thing that Chris Matthews has done to the media is to give everyone the idea that the point of political reporting is to find an analogy, any analogy, for whatever you’re talking about - no matter how forced or pointless.

Do these people know that Icarus died in that story?

Yes, but Kid Icarus didn’t.

The only clue I needed to know that the article is inane was Nedra Pickler’s name in the byline.

Robert Byrd as Daedalus is the egregious part IMHO.

“The Pickler” strikes again.

I’m sure the analogy between Icarus and Obama being an “uppity Negro” who doesn’t “know his place” meme is purely coincidental.

The Reichwing would never stoop so low as to attempt to use Obama’s ethnic heritage as a point of attack, would they?  After all, everybody knows racism ended in the ‘60’s.  It’s been smooth sailing for Black folk ever since.

I know it’s true because Tony Snow said so…

After all, just look at the huge numbers of Black CEOs, senators, congresspeople, Wall Street financial gurus, doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc.

I mean, just look!...at…them…all…

...okay, racism is very alive and well in America, god damn us…
