We Are All Disciples

Today, it is with a proud and full heart that I announce that I have become the first disciple of Mesus.

It actually doesn’t require much, just buying a large mirror, a polishing kit and learning to hum Also Sprach Zarathustra on command.

It’s also my birthday - I’m 26 today, meaning that I’m officially halfway to 52. If any of you have several dozen friends willing to give me more than their yearly salaries because they believe in me that much, I can put up a Paypal link. Also, updates: got the collections notice taken care of, and I’m getting a MacBook Pro.

Jesse! Many happy returns of the day. You have accomplished so much—so much! Someone upthread said they weren’t even out by 26. I was thrashing around in the Nepali hills wondering what the hell I was doing with my life. But one thing I can say is that I wasn’t as tall as you by 26 and now, I expect, at 47, I never will be. Also, I wasn’t as good looking. And oddly, at 26, was not standing next to the next president of the US. Congratulations on all you’ve accomplished so far, I’m looking forward to watching you grow. Although g-d willing not in height or you won’t fit on this little computer screen anymore.
