Well, Then!

Sarah Palin lied about going to Iraq?  Barack Obama was a part of a Pakistani drug ring, bitch!

Just a warning to the Secret Service: at some point, a conservative blogger will attempt to bumrush Barack Obama and shove his penis in Obama’s mouth just to prove that Obama is, in fact, a gay Muslim terrorist.  Watch for the zipper hand, guys.

Jesse, I can’t respond to this without screaming incoherently.

However, I will say that while I have in general avoided wingnut blogs and political sites, your presence here has given me the fortitude to follow your links and venture into the swamps of Riechwing “thought”, so I can satisfy myself that they are indeed as crazy as I thought they were.

Thank you…

Having discovered that Palin’s bloom released a cloud of GOP death spores, the besieged soldiers of the right-wing go back to Plan A: Weekly World News accusations of Obama.  Amusing, but predictable.

...well, technically, it apparently was the McBush side of the ticket that has been pushing this story.  That in itself plays into the larger theme about Mr. Straight Talk himself having abandoned any simple pretense of being able to recognize the carefully crafted past version of himself if he happened to meet it on the street.  “Straight Talk”, the cornerstone in the foundation of McCain’s entire public persona, has become “Straight-out Lying Talk”, and it’s well nigh time that this become the theme of the campaign season.  He truly has become the most amazing example in a long time of a man who would rather lose his integrity than lose an election…

I love the fact that, because Pakistan was pretty much inaccessible to foreigners when they’ve decided they want Obama to have visited, they default to assuming that he must have also paid bribes to get in.

I had plenty of college friends from X or Y far-flung parts of the world, from Iowa to France to Dubai to Cote d’Ivoire.  Never went “back home” to visit a one of ‘em.  Ever.  Even the drug dealing ones.  Especially the drug dealing ones.  I’m guessing that this would have been even less likely to happen if the friend in question had been from a place that is generally closed to foreign travel or politically hostile or periodically racked with communal violence and terrorism.

I read this post while listening to Warren Zevon’s Excitable Boy.

I’m not a believer, but I think there may be a God.

black man = drug dealer is a fundamental tenet of their world view.  Why should they stop at the top?

I also love how when we point out that Sarah Palin lied about a trip she took in her official capacity as governor just last year, they come back with, “Well, Barack Obama did drugs in college 30 years ago!”  Well, no shit, Sherlock.  Maybe you should have, I don’t know, read his book if you were unclear on his biography and that he admits he did drugs in the 70s.  You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone not home-schooled who didn’t.

And, yes, for Dan’s “readers” who show up, I did read the whole post.  I’m still not sure what Obama’s actions 30 years ago have to do with Palin’s actions of 1 year ago.

Particularly when Palin cops to smoking weed “when it was legal”, not understanding, knowing, or admitting that she still violated federal laws in doing so.

You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone home-schooled who didn’t.  There were some kids who lived near a boyfriend of mine who had grow-lamps for their “agronomy projects”.  He helped them market their results to kids at the high school.

Hey, hey, hey now. I’d love to nip this home school= conservative idiot meme in the bud. My kids are home schooled because they are less influenced by the conservative idiots this way. Seriously, I know more homeschoolers for Obama than I do for McCain.

I was thinking more lack of opportunity than stupidity, but I think Ms Kate has convinced me that home-schoolers can be just as bad as public-schoolers.  wink

Did Dan Riehl bugger baby goats in petting zoos? We have no proof that he hasn’t, and he’s never denied it.

(re: homeschooling. I’ve done stuff with one homeschool group, and you have a curious mix of veryveryChristian-conservative and veryveryliberal parents. It does, however, appear to be a very white, middle-class thing.)

They really do believe he is a Muslim, and that Muslim means Satanic Terrorist.

Amazing the level of ignorance and hate.

Wait, at the end of that Riehl World view whatever story, did they really accuse Obama of being ‘hunky’?  Ok, just checking.

Comment #15: jfm  on  09/14  at  03:18 PM

So Palin is accused of lying, and the best thing her defenders can come up with is to point out some bad behavior on Obama’s part that he was completely honest about.  Who needs The Daily Show?  Wingers are endless sources of comedy and entertainment.
