Wingnut meme of the day: Bill Ayers, homosexualist

This is so predictable it's like an episode of Three's Company (what?! Jack Tripper isn't gay?)—Bill Ayers Endorsed Radical Pro-Homosexual Education Book. Bill Ayers gave a thumbs up to a tome called "Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling" by William J. Letts IV and James T.  Sears, so now we have a new strawman connection to Barack Obama for the crazies to bug out over.

You knew he is an unrepentant domestic terrorist who set bombs in the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon and several other government buildings.

You knew Ayers still hates capitalism and our efforts to protect South Vietnam from communist oppression. And you knew that Barack Obama associated with him anyway. What you may not have known is that Ayers is a radical supporter of the homosexual agenda.

And the batsh*ttery comes from the credibility-challenged, Columbus, Ohio-based Linda Harvey of Mission[

ary Position

] America via WingNutDaily.

But as this election drama unfolds, the Ayers connection with this despicable movement to sexualize our kids needs to be examined closely.  Spellbound people are drawn to Barack Obama and are choosing to ignore key elements of his ideological pedigree. We need to bring this aspect of Ayers/Obama radicalism into the foreground. Ayers is not just a terrorist who attacked government buildings. He's an advocate of revolution in America by indoctrinating and sexually corrupting the next generation.

...What would an Obama administration do? The record shows that Obama supported Illinois Senate Bill 99 in 2003, which, despite denials by Obama and false claims by the mainstream media, was not a bill to protect children from sexual predators. It was a sweeping, comprehensive sex-education bill that lowered the age of instruction from sixth grade to kindergarten, gutted an abstinence emphasis and prohibited "bias" based on "sexual orientation." The term "sexual predator" is nowhere in the bill, with inappropriate touching by peers included in a laundry list of the many aspects of explicit sex ed.

Would all schools in the U.S., under the muscle of an Obama administration, be forced to drill youth in the talking points of "gay" sex and gender–switching, calling it "justice"?  Would Ayers' idea that America is an oppressive regime with way too much heterosexuality become a core tenet of your child's value system?

What?  You don’t want your kids knowing what a rim job is?  Weirdo.

I find it deeply amusing that their best case is, “Not only was he a domestic terrorist, BUT HE WANTS THEM TO TEACH THAT GAYS ARE EQUAL TO STRAIGHTS.  AND SO DOES OBAMA!”

And somehow he’s all the more horrifying since teh secks is involved.

Is there a minute of the day these crazies aren’t imagining steamy, underaged man-on-man love?  (I mean, when they’re not imagining steamy, underaged girl-on-girl love.)

Oh, geez. Can it GET any crazier? These people are really reaching now.

Comment #2: Mark  on  10/14  at  02:02 PM

Has anybody asked Bill Ayers what he thinks of all this bullshit?

Has anybody asked Bill Ayers what he thinks of all this bullshit?

I think it’d be great if someone asked him that, and he said, “Beats me. I’m voting for McCain!”

Comment #4: Scott  on  10/14  at  02:23 PM

It’s just creepy how much energy these people devote to thinking about the sexual corruption of children.

Look who else was on the board of the Chicago Annenberg foundation with Bill Ayers:

“Let’s look at a few, starting with the funder. Annenberg was a lifelong Republican and former ambassador to the United Kingdom under President Richard Nixon. His widow, Leonore, has endorsed McCain.

Among the other board members who served with Obama were: Stanley Ikenberry, former president of the University of Illinois; Arnold Weber, former president of Northwestern University and assistant secretary of labor in the Nixon administration; Scott Smith, then publisher of the Chicago Tribune; venture capitalist Edward Bottum; John McCarter, president of the Field Museum; Patricia Albjerg Graham, former dean of the Harvard University Graduate School of Journalism, and a host of other mainstream folks.

“The whole idea of it being radical when it was this tie of blue-chip, white-collar, CEOs and civic leaders is just ridiculous,” said the foundation’s former development director, Marianne Philbin.
The vast majority of the foundation’s external partners were not remotely controversial. Here are a few examples: the Chicago Symphony, the University of Chicago, Loyola University, Northwestern University, the Chicago Children’s Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Field Museum, the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Logan Square Neighborhood Association.

We could go on and on with evidence that the Chicago Annenberg Challenger was a rather vanilla charitable group. For example, under the deal with Annenberg every dollar from him had to be matched by two from elsewhere. The co-funders were a host of respected, mainstream institutions, such as the National Science Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Chicago Public Schools.

In short, this was a mainstream foundation funded by a mainstream, Republican business leader and led by an overwhelmingly mainstream, civic-minded group of individuals.

Obama should nominate Ayers for Secretary of Education, just to piss these guys off.

Comment #7: Spike  on  10/14  at  02:43 PM

Oh no, they might have to acknowledge that gay people exist and are human beings deserving of equal rights. How will the right wing ever survive such a crushing blow to their psyche?!

Comment #8: J.V.  on  10/14  at  03:18 PM

And I know what they’re going to say:

“And what we mean by Barack Obama and Bill Ayers having such a close relationship during his terrorist days is that, at the age of five, the saucy little Barack seduced Bill Ayers, thus causing his acceptance of homosexuality.”

I would not be surprised at this point.

Comment #9: INTPagan  on  10/14  at  03:45 PM

Maybe “sexual predator” isn’t mentioned because that would freak out the kids.  When talking to young children about protecting themselves from molestation, it’s important that you not scare them to death and not make them think that being a victim of a sex crime is something to be ashamed of.  Shame = silence.

I always am interested to see what little faith conservatives have in kids´ (at least eventual) capacity to make decisions for themselves and decide on their own values. Constantly accusing liberals of indoctrination in a great case of projection. If conservatives´anti-gay vision for America were so great, wouldn´t people, and the kids too, gravitate to it without all of the coercion conservatives want, like indoctrination into their own values and keeping alternative views of family and sex out of public fora?

I eagerly await this meme to surface in a McCain/Palin town hall. Please, god, let it happen.

You know I’m glad I’m not the only one blogging about this bullshit.  Jack Kelly had a column on Sunday about Obama’s “association” with Ayers.  A little background.  They were associated as part of the Annenberg Foundation.  Annenberg was (is? I don’t remember) a big Republican service Nixon and Reagan.  The same flawed logic links them to Ayers as well. Well they’re both dead so I guess not such a good example but you get my point.

Comment #13: Kate  on  10/14  at  05:08 PM

Waaaayyy too much heterosexuality, man.  Which I know because I pay so much goddamned attention to that kind of thing, being fanatically obsessed with sex…mostly because I don’t know what it is…and nobody should be having more fun that I am and I’m not having any at all, not like those homosex people are.  I mean, seriously, have you seen my wife/husband/neighbour?

Teh ghey agenda - one of the most finely crafted and executed covert operations of our time. Blows the animal rights wankers right out of the water, man….blow, wanker…aaarrrgggh, they got to me!  I knew it was a mistake to visit that recruiting centre beside the school.  Somebody pray away my ghey, stat, before it spreads!

Comment #14: Caveat  on  10/14  at  08:06 PM

And somehow, Ayers has been with the same woman since the 60’s, and even had kids with her.

How many of those creeps can say the same?

Comment #15: Indy  on  10/14  at  11:37 PM

what if McCain had ties to an abortion clinic bomber? would you be worried then?

Considering that McCain has close ties with a convicted felon who gave his radio listeners instructions on how to kill federal law enforcement agents, I think you’ve answered your own question.

Bill and Obama were not trying to improve education in the traditional sense. They were turning the schools into a political indoctrination camp at the taxpayers’ expense.

I hope all of this shines the white hot spotlight on ACORN, Ayers and Obama for their deeds.

Man, the Birchers really are out in force tonight, aren’t they?  It must be depressing to realize your entire political movement is going down the tubes and there’s nothing you can do about it because people care more about their 401(k)s vanishing than they do about what Bill Ayers was up to when Obama was 8 years old.

Sorry, fellas—the 1960s are over.  The hippies have all become stockbrokers.  No one cares about the Weathermen anymore except a rapidly shrinking group of psychotics who spend their days muttering to themselves about pinko commie liberal reds hiding under their beds.
