In Dayton, there’s an allegation of two men spraying a ‘chemical irritant’ into the building of the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton during prayer services. At least two worshipers were taken to area hospitals.
I’m not even sure which sure-to-ignore-this conservative blogger I should call out over their inevitable ignoring of this. There’s just so damn many.
In other news, Fort Hill, SC mayor Danny Funderburk (who is, sadly, not former NBA bench player Lawrence Funderburke) forwarded a chain e-mail claiming that Barack Obama was the Antichrist because he was “curious” about the claims within. You see, he’s just a religious scholar:
When asked if he believed Obama was the antichrist, Funderburk replied, “I’ve got absolutely no way of knowing that.”
Funderburk said it “probably does give that impression” that he believed the e-mail was true “but that was not my intent.”
The mayor said it was a mistake not to include a subject line when he forwarded the chain e-mail.
“I am curious about current events and their connection to the Bible,” he said.
There’s a temptation to find Funderburk’s e-mail and send him a series of e-mails claiming that other people are the Antichrist to see if he forwards those on…out of curiosity and all that. Instead, I just ask you to forward to all of your friends the following e-mail:
